本日は、Eat Sleep Dream English チャンネルさんからです。

動画のタイトルは、

"5 New English Words You NEED to Know 2017"
「2017年知るべき新英単語５つ」

です。

その５つは何かと言うと、

1)  Binge watch   /ˈbɪndʒ ˌwɒtʃ/

to watch multiple episodes of the same TV show one after another.
「同じテレビ番組の複数のエピソードを次から次と見る」

例えば、

テレビのドラマシリーズを DVD や Netflix などで見ていて、１つ終わった後に、

Ok I'll watch just one more.
「もう一つ見ようかな」

と言って、止められずに次々に見てしまうことです。

【使い方】
"Do you ever binge watch?"
「次から次に見てしまったこと今までにありますか？」

2)  HIIT  /hɪt/
high intensity interval training　の略です。
「高強度インターバルトレーニング」

This is a type of workout.
「これはトレーニングの一種です。

これは、高負荷運動をした後、短い時間の休憩でまた高負荷運動をするトレーニングです。

例えば、

It's forty five seconds of press-ups and then fifteen seconds rest.
 「腕立て伏せ４５回、そして１５秒休憩」

Another forty-five seconds of sit-ups to work your stomach and then fifteen seconds of rest.
「別の腹筋運動４５秒、そして１５秒休憩」

press-ups  /ˈpres ʌps/  （英）「腕立て伏せ」
push-ups  /ˈpʊʃ ʌps/  （米）

sit-ups  /ˈsɪt ʌps/  「腹筋運動」

【使い方】
"I just did a HIIT workout"
「HIIT を今しました」

3)  Superfood   /ˈsuːpəˌfuːd/

A nutrient-rich food that is really healthy for you.
「本当にあなたの健康に良い栄養豊富な食品」

nutrient-rich   /ˈnjuːtriənt ˌrɪtʃ/   「栄養分に富んだ」

例えば、

avocados, blueberries, oily fish things like that.
「アボガド、ブルーベリー、 脂肪分の多い魚、など」

【使い方】
"I think I'm going to have the superfood salad"
「栄養豊富なサラダを食べようと思っています」

4)  Drunk dialing  /ˌdrʌŋk ˈdaɪəlɪŋ/

an intoxicated person making a phone call they wouldn't normally make.
「酔った人が、通常はしない電話をすること」

intoxicated  /ɪnˈtɒksɪˌkeɪtɪd/  
「酔っ払い drunk の丁寧な言い方」

例えば、

someone you fancy or you find attractive or is an ex-girlfriend or boyfriend
「気に入っている人や、魅かれている人、或いは元彼女や元彼など」

朝に目が覚めて、

Why did I call them?
「どうして彼らに電話したんだろう」

と思って後悔します。（＾＾）

5)  Photobomb   /ˈfəʊtəʊˌbɒm/

to enter the background of a photo as a joke or prank
「冗談やいたずらで、写真の背景に入ること」

prank   /præŋk/   「いたずら、悪ふざけ」

【使い方】
"Oh my God! That guy totally photobombed us."
「何てことだ、あの人が完全に私たちの写真に紛れ込んだ」
